Empowa was built to give housing developers and operators the software they need to make Rent-to-Own a real, scalable path to ownership, for the self-employed economy traditional mortgages were never designed for.

Across developed economies, the workforce has changed. The self-employed make up a growing share of every economy, yet the path to homeownership has barely changed in fifty years.

Rent-to-Own is one of the few credible answers. Done well, it gives people a path to ownership without the impossible deposit and the inflexible mortgage. Done poorly, it’s a drag on operators and a black box for capital.

Empowa exists to make doing it well the easier option. Our platform handles the evaluation, the rails, the contracts, and the reporting so operators can focus on housing, and so capital can back the asset class with confidence.
